External biomechanics expertise – when you need it

For individual questions or whole projects, bringing in biomechanical and scientific perspectives early can be decisive. BiJoMechanik offers external expertise in three formats – from working on a project together and scientifically sound texts to a workshop for your team.

Project Consulting

Someone who thinks your question through from a biomechanical and scientific perspective – from a short sparring session to ongoing support.

Learn more

In sparring, assumptions are challenged, functional questions discussed and possible directions assessed – from a single exchange to recurring support. In longer-term support I help develop research questions, review literature and evidence for your specific question at the start, and put scientific and functional aspects in context before new studies are planned. Data collection and analysis are possible but not necessary in every case. For organisations that regularly deal with such questions, a continuous advisory is also possible – without having to build up their own structures.

Science Writing & Authorship

Scientifically sound texts that actually reach their readers – from the specialist article to the brochure.

Learn more

Scientifically sound texts for different audiences: articles and scientific contributions, information materials and brochures, the state of the evidence made easy to understand. Accurate, referenced and written so that they actually reach their readers – whether specialists, those affected or interested laypeople.

Example: information material on achondroplasia and sport (2025) – see Publications.

Workshops

Knowledge your team understands and can apply itself – tailored to your specific question.

Learn more

A workshop conveys scientific knowledge but does not stop there. What matters is the transfer: what does this knowledge mean for our specific situation? To that end, questions are analysed together, assumptions discussed and biomechanical relationships applied to practical examples. Workshops follow no fixed template; they are designed around the question and the audience.

The question comes first

Handwritten thought on a chalkboard

At BiJoMechanik, consulting does not mean: “Which measurement can we do?”

It means first: “What do we actually want to find out or improve?” Only from that does it follow which form of support makes sense.
